    Marine Rotational Force - Darwin

U.S. Marines with Company C, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, conduct a foot patrol Aug. 7 at the Kangaroo Flats Training Area, Northern Territory, Australia during helicopter raid training. The Marines are a part of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force that is composed of aviation, ground and logistics combat elements that create MRF-D. The Marines conducted the bilateral training with Australian soldiers with Delta Company, 5th Battalion The Royal Australian Regiment, Australian Army, Australian Defence Force. The rotational deployment in Darwin enables Marines to more effectively train, exercise and operate with their partners, enhancing regional security and building a capacity to respond more rapidly to natural disasters and crises throughout that region.
