Local children look at a Light Weight Purification System belonging to Combat Logistics Battalion, 31st Marine Expeditonary Unit, at a water purification site in Saipan, Aug. 10, 2015. The LWPS will be used to turn seawater into potable water for the people of Saipan. The 31st MEU and the ships of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group are assisting federal and local agencies with distributing emergency relief supplies to Saipan after it was struck by Typhoon Soudelor, Aug. 2-3.
