Regimental sergeant major for 3rd Commando Brigade, RSM Matt Tomlinson, Royal Marines, watches the formation before the Victory in Japan Day ceremony aboard Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., Aug. 15, 2015. The memorial service brought together military personnel from the U.S. Marine Corps, Britain and Canada, participating in Large Scale Exercise 15, to remember the sacrifices of service members who fought in the Pacific Theater of World War II. LSE-15 is a combined U.S. Marine Corps, Canadian and British exercise conducted at the brigade-level, designed to enable live, virtual and constructive training for participating forces.
