Martha Coley, mother to two retired Air Force pilots and an accountant in the Resource Management Division, is a face of the nationwide Blue Star Mothers of America organization that lists more than 6,000 mothers of armed forces service members across approximately 200 locations. Behind her is BSMA’s service flag, an official, indoor banner displayed by members of its organization. According to the organization’s website, the flag should be flown facing out from the front window of a home or organization. Each blue star on the flag represents a past or present service member.
