Naval Station Guantanamo Bay sea cadets learn USS Wasp (LHD 1) basic fire fighting and damage control techniques from Wasp's Damage Control Team. The cadets took a tour of the ship to see the different aspects and elements of a Navy Ship. Wasp is currently deployed on Southern Partnership Station-Amphib with DESRON FOUR ZERO and a Security Cooperation Marine Air Ground Task Force embarked. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
