An improved Navy lighterage system begins its route ashore during an offload demonstration Oct. 15 at Camp Pendleton's Red Beach training area during Exercise Pacific Horizon 2010. The exercise is a Maritime Prepositioning Force offload intended to reinforce the Marine Corps' Navy relationship and teamwork by taking Marine Corps equipment from the USNS Pfc. Dewayne T. Williams and moving it ashore.
