GULF OF ADEN (Aug. 14, 2015) A U.S. Marine with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Raid Force fires his M1911A pistol at his target on the flight deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23). Elements of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are embarked aboard the Anchorage, which is part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, and is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
