Army Reserve Soldiers assigned to the 151st Theater Information Operations Group salute during the national anthem during the group’s change of command ceremony held Aug. 15, 2015, at Fort Totten, N.Y., located in Queens. Col. Curtis Carney took charge of the group from Col. Molly McGlaughlin. With more than 300 Soldiers, the 151st TIOG was active Oct. 4, 2009, at Fort Totten, N.Y. The group has two information operations battalions and is one of only four units of its type in the nation. The IO mission is to synchronize related capabilities comprised of electronic warfare, psychological operations, operations security, and network operations with the overarching objective of gaining, maintaining and controlling the information environment on the battlefield.
