U.S. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer Mark Cummings, a Pittsburgh native, stands on stage before a Chief Petty Officer promotion ceremony at Camp Lemonnier. Seven 1st Class Petty Officers assigned to Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa and Camp Lemonier were promoted to Chief during the ceremony. Cummings, Lemonnier's command master chief, has served in the Navy for the last 25 years. He resides in Norfolk, Va., where he is currently stationed.
