Soldiers assigned to Alpha Company, 448th Civil Affairs Battalion, engage conversation with local residents at a neighborhood grocery store during a community assessment July 21, 2015, in Zalliah, Wash. The local residents kindly completed a survey questionnaires for the Soldier’s training. The training event is designed to have local residence fill out an anonymous questionnaire about their community to help the Soldiers determine how the residence feel about their area. The community assessment training is essential to the enhancement of the Soldiers mission readiness skills to better aid local communities during a deployment. (U.S. Army photo by Capt.
