Rachel Indrieri, preventive medicine specialist, C Company, 145th Brigade Support Battalion, 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team (CBCT), calculates the heat index with a field heat index kit to determine the work-to-rest ratio unit commanders should use for their Soldiers at the National Training Center (NTC) in Fort Irwin, Calif., Aug. 23. The 116th CBCT's NTC Rotation is the first National Guard rotation of its kind since the beginning of the global war on terrorism.
