Marines with 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion swim against the current as they try to complete a 1,000 meter open water fin training aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Aug. 18, 2015. The Marines were conducting the swim as part of a pre-dive course being held Aug. 17 and 18. During this portion of the course Marines were given a 30-minute time limit to complete the swim.
