Rear Adm. Lorin Selby, commander of Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), is briefed on the Griffin missile launcher as an example of rapid prototyping capability in February 2015. Selby spoke to unmanned systems experts from the government, industry, and academia at NSWC Dahlgren Division's second annual Unmanned Systems Integration Workshop and Technical Exchange Meeting, Aug. 19. The admiral encouraged military innovators and business executives to overcome the challenges they face to obtain funding for new technologies that can rapidly become a program of record and deployed to the warfighter.
