150830-N-EI558-044 KANAGAWA, Japan (Aug. 30, 2015) Naval Aviators, of Helicopter Maritime Strike (HSM) Squadron 51, track a ship using the Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) system during the Big Kanagawa Rescue exercise. HSM 51 routinely supports local and national readiness and recovery exercises. The Big Kanagawa Rescue is an annual exercise designed to test the ability of local and national agencies to coordinate an effective disaster recovery effort.
