150903-N-DA737-030 PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 3, 2015) - Culinary Specialist 2nd Class Joseph S. Williams, from Federal Way, Wash., takes the Navy-wide advancement exam on USS John C. Stennis' (CVN 74) aft mess decks. The Navy offers eligible candidates two opportunities per year, once in the spring and once in the fall, to test for the next higher pay grade.
