(Sept. 2, 2015) For Chief Petty Officer (CPO) Selectees stationed at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, one of the most opportunities is learning about our rich American heritage. During CPO 365 Phase II, this lesson is continually drilled and honed, to reinforce to the CPO Selectees just how important it is to learn about our nation's history. CPO Selectees ran around the Yorktown Battlefield, September 2, stopping at various points to research and speak to the importance of each phase of the battle of Yorktown and the events that culminated in our victory over the British and secured our independence. They were joined on this run by commanding officers and senior enlisted leaders from the installation and the various tenant commands. (Photo by Mark Piggott)
