150825-D-QK571-010: Amy Knestaut receives the national Naval Air Systems Command Logistics and Industrial Operations (Air 6.0) employee of the quarter award from Danny Gresham, Air 6.0 director for Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, during a ceremony at Point Mugu on Aug. 25. The presentation took place during a national teleconference with Air 6.0 leadership from across the country, including Rear Adm. Paul Sohl, commander, Fleet Readiness Centers, and Todd Balazs, Air 6.0 deputy assistant commander. AIR 6.0 is composed of about 4,000 personnel geographically dispersed around the world who collaborate to develop, acquire, field, and sustain integrated and affordable logistics support systems for Naval Aviation aircraft and weapons systems. Knestaut was nominated in part for her work in support of the Joint Electronic Attack Compatibility Office as the logistics lead for the rapid deployment capabilities for the Intrepid Tiger program, which fields a precision electronic warfare communication jammer pod that can be reprogrammed remotely mid-flight.
