NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Sept. 9, 2015) Electronics Technician 3rd Class Emilee Recci, assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), pours sand into a bag containing a message and a candle remembering loved ones who lost their lives to suicide during the overnight Out of the Darkness Walk, to recognize Suicide Prevention Awareness Month at Huntington Hall field in Newport News, Va., Sept. 9. More than 300 Sailors participated in the walk, which went lasted from sunset Wednesday until sunrise Thursday, covering more than 50 miles to raise suicide prevention awareness.
