Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 168th Infantry Regiment fill out electronic forms called Periodic Health Assessments, where they answer a series of health related questions made to assist them in the Soldier Readiness Processing. Approximately 3,000 Iowa National Guard Soldiers are on alert status as part of an upcoming rotation of forces to operate within Afghanistan, the Department of Defense announced Oct. 16. Soldiers from the 1-168th are part of these deploying forces.
