150911-N-OB360-001 WATERS OFF THE COAST OF HAWAII (Sept. 11, 2015) Yeoman 3rd Class Elexis Rogers, from Jacksonville, Fla., sings the national anthem at the commencement of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan's (CVN 76) Sept. 11 Patriot's Day remembrance event. The ship's diversity committee and fiscal year 2016 chief petty officer selectees sponsored the event to mark the 14th anniversary of the terrorist attacks which occurred September 11th, 2001. Ronald Reagan and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, provide a combat-ready force that protects the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific Region.
