The hundred-degree heat didn’t stop hundreds of Mesa residents from descending on Riverview Park to see the Marines in action, Sept. 12, 2015. Community members of all ages and backgrounds, to include Marine Corps veterans, watched performances from the Silent Drill Platoon, military working dogs, Marine Band San Diego and the Marines Corps only mounted color guard. More than 800 Marines are participated in Marine Week Phoenix to give the citizens of the Valley of the Sun the opportunity to meet the individual Marines and celebrate community, country and Corps.
