Ha and Son were aboard Los Angeles as part of the 31st Submarine Warfare Committee Meeting, a semi-annual flag conference between U.S. Navy Commander, Submarine Group 7 and Republic of Korea navy Commander, Submarine Flotilla 9. The conference began in 1994 during the birth of the Republic of Korea navy submarine fleet and has evolved into a discussion between U.S. and the Republic of Korea submarine forces, focused on submarine tactics, force integration and future submarine development.
