JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Sept. 11, 2015) – Sailors assigned to Naval Hospital (NH) Jacksonville and Naval Air Station Jacksonville participate in a 9/11 Memorial 5K run in remembrance of the lives lost during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. About 300 military and civilian personnel later gathered at NH Jacksonville’s flagpole for the raising of morning colors. NH Jacksonville’s priority since its founding in 1941 is to heal the nation’s heroes and their families. The command is comprised of the Navy’s third largest hospital and five branch health clinics across Florida and Georgia.
