Djiboutian Dr. Nabawiya, center, talks with U.S. Navy Cmdr. Anthony Battaglia, Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa chief medical officer outside the cholera isolation area at the Farahad Clinic about the needs of the victims of the cholera epidemic during a CJTF-HOA civil affairs medical assessment. Nabawiya, chief medical officer expressed the need for bottled water for the patients to take home. She said, most of the patients are living at or below the poverty level and can't afford to buy clean drinking water. In the past 30 days, 515 patients have been tested for cholera and 180 have tested positive.
