Pfc. Lukas C. Hopper (right) is thanked for his service to his country by Command Sgt. Maj. King Parks, the brigade's command sergeant major, after being awarded the Army Commendation Medal during a recent ceremony held at his base outside Baghdad. Lukas died, Oct. 30, after his vehicle rolled over during a mounted patrol in the southeastern outskirts of Baghdad.
