U.S. Marine Capt. Chase Bradford addresses Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force members and Marines, Sept. 14, 2015, at Camp Imazu, Takashima, Japan, to explain the three key objectives for his company's upcoming final exercise, which will conclude Forest Light 16-1. Forest Light is a semiannual, bilateral exercise focusing on infantry operations, conducted by elements of III Marine Expeditionary Force and the JGSDF. The JGSDF members are with 50th Infantry Regiment, 14th Brigade. Bradford from Natchez, Mississippi, is the commanding officer for Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III MEF under the unit deployment program.
