ARABIAN GULF (Sept. 22, 2015) A U.S. Marine with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit carries water jugs during physical training on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). The Marines are attending a corporals course which prepares them to be successful noncommissioned officers. The 15th MEU, embarked aboard the ships of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
