ARABIAN GULF (Sept. 18, 2015) U.S. Marines with Lima Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, throw punches during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program course in the hangar bay of the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). MCMAP teaches Marines hand-to-hand skills that might help in a combat situation.
