Members of the Marine Corps League Dramis Detachment stand at attention during morning colors on board the Coast Guard Training Center Cape May, Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015. Every year, members of the Dramis Detachment attend a ceremony in honor of Signalman 1st Class Douglas Munro who died 73 years ago today while rescuing more than 500 Marines who were pinned down by enemy gunfire on the beaches of Guadalcanal. Munro was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroism and is the only Coast Guard Medal of Honor recipient. (U.S. Coast Guard photo by Chief Warrant Officer John Edwards)
