Sunburst Youth ChalleNGe Academy cadets and their families were reunited Saturday, Sept. 19, for the first time in 70 days. The cadets performed drill routines for their families then enjoyed a meal and a few hours in the sun at the California National Guard’s Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos in Orange County. Smiles and tears were plentiful, and proud parents said they already saw the growth in their children.
