The cannon that marks the grave of Maj. Gen. Wallace Fitz Randolph, born June 11, 1841, and died Dec. 9, 1910, in Section 1 of Arlington National Cemetery was reinstalled Sept. 30, 2015, in Arlington, Va. "This is a government issue headstone that we are repairing because of safety issues,” said Rebecca Stevens, ANC cultural recourses manager. She also said, "The Randolph Cannon is unique in all the cemetery. It is the only military issue headstone that is not a white marble marker, it is actually a Civil War era cannon."
