Republic of Korea Marine Lance Cpl. The U.S. and ROK Marines practiced quickly putting on their gas mask and carrying the simulated wounded to safety. KMEP 15-12 is an exercise in a series of continuous bilateral training exercises that enhances the ROK and U.S. alliance, promotes stability on the Korean Peninsula and strengthens ROK and U.S. military capabilities and interoperability. Shin is with 2nd Company, 11th Battalion, 1st Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, ROK Headquarters Marine Corps. The U.S. Marines are with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force under the unit deployment program.
