New York Army National Guard Lt. Col. Sean Flynn, right, commander of the 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry, offers best wishes to Lt. Col. Kenneth Wisneiwski, commander of the Massachusetts Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 182nd Infantry prior to the annual Logan-Duffy Rifle Match. The two commanders began the marksmanship competition with the first rounds fired downrange for the two historic Army infantry regiments. The two legendary Irish military organizations first formed bonds of camaraderie during the American Civil War and first gathered in a rifle match in 1936. This year's event was held at Camp Smith, New York on October 3 with the infantrymen of the 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry besting their competitors from the 1st Battalion, 182nd Infantry to retain their championship title for another year.
