The U.S. Marines Corps color guard with 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force - Darwin stands in formation Oct. 5 during a farewell ceremony hosted by 1st Brigade, Australian Army, at Robertson Barracks, Northern Territory, Australia. U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Richard Simcock and Australian Brig. Mick Ryan congratulated the Marines on their hard work and the amount of effort they’ve shown throughout their time participating in training exercises, performing community services and immersing in Australian culture. The rotational deployment of U.S. Marines in Australia affords an unprecedented combined training opportunity with our allies and improves interoperability between our forces.
