(Sept. 29, 2015) Chief Steelworker Thomas Delacruz, right, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, explains the roles of each individual in the command operation center to Capt. Christopher Kurgan, commodore of Naval Construction Force (NCG) 1, during his visit to Camp Rovinski in Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., during NMCB 4's 2015 field training exercise (FTX). FTX prepares and tests the battalion's ability to enter hostile locations, build assigned construction projects and defend against enemy attacks, using realistic scenarios as more than 100 evaluators from Naval Construction Group (NCG) 1 and Naval Construction Training Center grade each evolution.
