Cmdr. H. B. Le, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Lassen, shares a laugh with Ensign Michael Quaglino as Lassen nears Da Nang, Vietnam. Le escaped Vietnam with his family during the Vietnam conflict in 1975 and is returning to Vietnam for the first time. Lassen is joining the amphibious command ship USS Blue Ridge in Da Nang for a scheduled port visit.
