NAVAL BASE KITSAP-BREMERTON, Wash. (Oct. 7, 2015) – Electrician’s Mate Seaman Sebastian Blua, a native of Indio, Calif., uses a multi-meter during maintenance on a chill water pump motor controller on board the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) as Electrician’s Mate Seaman Richard Solar, a native of San Francisco, observes to ensure it is de-energized. Nimitz is currently undergoing a planned incremental availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility where the ship will receive scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
