Andrew Smith, zone 6 fire station captain, is joined by co-worker paramedics to cut a cake during the opening ceremony of the new joint emergency service station on Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Oct. 10. Firefighters and paramedics will be able to respond more effectively from this joint central location to emergencies in and around the area. The new station will give firefighters and emergency medical technicians a permanent space to better facilitate training and classes that’s offered to the public. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
