Navy celebrates its 240th birthday at Pearl Harbor

151013-N-ON468-064 PEARL HARBOR (Oct. 13, 2015) Chief Intelligence Specialist Cedrick Green rings the bell of the USS Arizona in honor of the Navy's 240th birthday during an Honors and Heritage ceremony at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. The ceremony was attended by the Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson and honored both the Navy's birthday and the heritage of the Navy in Pearl Harbor during and after World War II. Richardson is on his first overseas travel as the CNO. The goal of his trip is to engage Sailors, Navy civilians, families and key maritime partners in locations around the globe.
