    Sgt. Maj. Nicholas Deabreau, Recruit Training Regiment Sergeant Major, rededicates the Drill Instructor Monument Oct. 16, 2015, as part of the centennial celebration on Parris Island, S.C. The monument was first dedicated to honor past, present and future drill instructors in April 24, 1999. The Drill Instructor Monument has a replica located in San Diego. The monument, flanked by two drill instructor statues, stands eight feet tall and showcases the drill instructor’s creed.
