Members of the Randolph Independent School District, CyberPatriot team, discuss upcoming competition tactics during their weekly meeting Sept. 28, 2015, at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph High School. In each of the three competition round, the team is given a virtual machine that contains several vulnerabilities and the team with the most fixes passes onto the next round, with hopes of making it to the National Championships in Washington, D.C. CyberPatiot's goal is to excite students about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) while giving them hands on exposure to the foundations of cyber security.
