151018-N-PG340-114 INDIAN OCEAN (Oct. 18, 2015) – Aviation Machinist’s Mate 2nd Class Tyler Hamik, from Norfolk, Neb., gives a tour of the jet shop to diplomats and navy officials from the Indian Navy and the Japanese Maritime self-defense during Exercise Malabar 2015 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). Malabar is a continuing series of complex, high-end war fighting exercises conducted to advance multi-national maritime relationships and mutual security. The aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations as part of a worldwide deployment en route to its new homeport in San Diego to complete a three-carrier homeport shift.
