Brig. Gen. David Jones (right), the Chief of Defence of the Belize Defence Force (BDF) receives a brief from Mr. Bill Frost, a Deployable Virtual Training Environment Operator, SOI-East, during a scheduled visit to various Marine Corps units on Camp Geiger, N.C., Oct. 21, 2015. The Marines at SOI-East gave Brig. Gen. Jones an overview of the Marine Corps student entry-level training pipeline in order to enhance his knowledge of the complexities associated with training Marines in a formal school environment. The purpose of the visit was to assess the capabilities of U.S. forces, discern opportunities for Belize forces alongside Marines, and sustain enduring partnerships between the two countries in their efforts to counter transnational organized crime.
