A crew chief communicates with the pilots of a CH-53E Super Stallion with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 162 (Reinforced), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, embarked on the amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24), during a helicopter support training exercise that involved picking up a M105 trailer while participating in Trident Juncture at Pinheiro Da Cruz, Portugal, Oct. 22, 2015. The long distance transportation of supplies by air can be used to support troops ashore in missions such as humanitarian assistance or disaster relief mission and supplies are needed in a timely manner. Trident Juncture is a NATO-led exercise designed to certify NATO response forces and develop interoperability among participating NATO and partner nations.
