151025-N-IN729-150 WATERS TO THE EAST OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (Oct. 25, 2015) An E-2C Hawkeye, assigned to the “Liberty Bells” of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 115, launches from the flight deck of the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Ronald Reagan is participating in bilateral training with Republic of Korea (ROK) Navy to strengthen the U.S.-ROK alliance and improve regional security. Ronald Reagan and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, provide a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
