A cavalry gunner with B Troop, 1st Squadron, 38th Cavalry Regiment, 525thBattlefield Surveillance Brigade, provides security with a M2 .50 caliber machine gun and a thermal optics scope on a rainy day at the Ali Market during a key leader engagement exercise during platoon-level situational training exercises which ran from Nov. 9 -13 at Fort Bragg's Freedom City training range. The platoon STX was the final leg of the squadron's two-month intensive training cycle in preparation of their military readiness exercise at Fort Irwin, Calif.
