The cast of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” sings their introduction Oct. 23 at the Headquarters and Support Battalion building aboard Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. The play was performed by members of the Pacific Okinawa Players, a community theater group run by volunteers under the Status of Forces Agreement. POPs performed the play Oct. 15-17 and 22-24. The group performs multiple productions throughout the year at many different locations on Okinawa and welcomes participants of all ages. Proceeds are directed to the costs of productions as well as scholarship funds for students pursuing performing arts careers. Membership information as well as future performance dates are available at www.pacificokinawaplayers.org.
