Staff Sgt. Andrew Halsing detonates six pounds of explosives to remove a wall that blocked the convoys route. Halsing and the rest of the Soldiers of 3rd Platoon, 62nd Engineer Company, 4th Engineer Battalion, patrol areas of southern Afghanistan in the Kandahar province clearing routes of improvised explosive devices. The Soldiers can spend up to 14 hours a day clearing routes.
