An Australian soldier assigned to Task Group Taji supervises Iraqi soldiers assigned to the 71st Iraqi Army Brigade during a team live-fire exercise at Camp Taji, Iraq, Oct. 28, 2015. Soldiers with Task Group Taji conducted the exercise to help Iraqi soldiers be confident with their weapons during an assault scenario. This training is part of the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve’s building capacity mission. These tactics will assist the soldiers in the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. Since January, the coalition has helped build Iraqi Security Forces capacity by training six Iraqi army brigades, 10 Peshmerga battalions, 2,100 counter-terrorism service personnel, and more than 2,500 popular mobilization forces.
