151030-N-MP556-018 OKINAWA, Japan (Oct. 30, 2015) Amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) arrives at White Beach Naval Facility. Germantown with embarked Marines from to the 3rd Marine Division, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and the 3rd Marine Logistics Group participated in exercise Blue Chromite. Blue Chromite is a U.S. only exercise designed to increase amphibious proficiency between the Navy and Marine Corps. Germantown and the embarked Marines are forward-deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. (U.S. Navy photo by Lt.
